Maybe the best YouTube clip I have seen in years. Dykstra vs Mitch Williams.

The only thing that would be worse is if nardi was here to rub our noses in it.

Ever see Philly Pheud? Pure CoP. Looks like the production budget comes out of Missanelli's radio paycheck. Terrible (and I "like" Missanelli).

Might be time to face the music...CoP blows, all the way down to the burrs.

Where is nardi and Merc these days? They run off together?

I'll say what everyone else is thinking---I miss JMerc.

I refuse to press play on that. Nothing sadder than two guys still trying to coast on the fumes of a league championship from 20 years ago. At least Mitch is coherent some of the time and appears to live indoors.

I am the opposite - I cannot stop pressing play. A film on Lenny Dykstra probably doesnt make anyone rich, but it should be produced.

Which guy is more intoxicated?

I'd say Lenny for sure - but it's hard to tell - because Lenny ALWAYS looks and sounds absolutely lit - and that may be the case, or he may just be so immeasurably stupid that it's just who he is. I can't decide.

Mitch was definitely slurring. It was almost like a caricature of a drunk.

That was really painful to watch. Talk about pathetic. Whose bright idea was it to stage this event?

it was Joe Conklins event. why they would let Dykstra near a microphone is beyond me. the guy is a mess. someone called him (i think mitch williams) the smartest baseball player ever but the dumbest human being alive.

COP is the all time worst, all time. its not even close.

Just stupid to allow Dykstra do anything media related, the guy is basically special needs.

he did about an hour last summer with Mike Missinelli, admitted to taking steroids so he could last the entire season, said in so many words the entire 93 phillies were juiced up by his doctor. he called them his vitamins. he also talked about how he took so much speed and coke he didnt sleep for months during the height of his legal troubles. great baseball player, horrible human being. when he talks he sounds like he is either totally drunk or has gone full retard.

How come CoP is getting saddled with Lenny and Mitch? I understand the 93 connection, but CoDB also claimed Lenny, and plenty of people associate Mitch with his Cubs days.

Because Novaball thinks he found something with his CoP bashing schtick.

Isn't Novaball from the CoP area and still lives here? You got love the better than everyone else mindset. Only a Nova degree can enhance this. Yawn.

Burrs , yes im from the COP but now live in the radnor hunt area of Malvern. i disassociate myself with the worst city in the world. Philly makes Baltimore look like Avalon NJ.

Horrible fan base, horrible sports radio, horrible everything. its amazing to me that Eagles fans love the torture, if they ever win the superbowl it would be a bad day for them cause now they would have nothing to complain about.

Nope, you don't hate Villanova or anything...nothing to see here. Moving on.

You get dopier and dopier by the day. Not sure if it's an act. Cap tip of so.

do you hate uppity d bags from nova or low lifes from philly more?

It's a tie. And I don't personally know any low lifes from Philly. Your generalizations on a wide range of subjects are comical. I enjoy them.

looks like you have all of philly covered there. and west catholic for High School thats the real 4 for 4 right there. where did you go to grade school? St Barnabas? St Clemens?

Wasnt Dykstra instrumental in the 86 WS for the Mets? was 4 for 5 in game three and 8 hits in the series.
Sox were up 2-0 then 3-2, what an epic loss. i feel for the men who died before 04 to see them win it.

he was great in 93 for the Phillies , the perfect lead off hitter.

played a career high 161 games (he says thanks to steroids), 773 plate appearances, 129 BBs, 194 hits, 143 runs, 19 HRs, 66 RBIs, 37 SBs, only 64 Ks and hit .305, wow that may be one of the best offensive seasons ever for a lead off hitter.

scroll down to post season stats, great post season player too

Dykstra was even better in the playoffs in '93. Last season before the WC, and he was challenging Babe Ruth's records for postseason homers. Incredibly clutch as well. Beat the Braves even though they got outscored in the series, primarily due to his clutch hitting. He also willed them back into that Game 6 in Toronto.

Lenny was a fun player to watch.

Looking forward to watching the clip later, am sure I will cringe.

the triple to clear the bases late in game 6 and put the phils on top was incredible. i forget how that game ended though.

even though they lost in 93 that was still the best season of my life. i was 13 i think? 8th grade. then 01 sixers and then 08 Phillies, the playoffs just werent that fun less game 5 at LAD, the Phils killed everyone.

actually i think it was game 4 in LA when Victorino and Stairs hit homers. what a game that was.

'93 was my favorite season. I was still young enough to really care about sports. What a ride.

Wait, you think you were at one of the most memorable games in CoP history???

You don't know this for sure??? I can tell you where I was sitting and what i ordered in 1986. (and 1999, 2000 and 2006)
