CoP Sports Roast

the three inning game in 08 was pretty cool. was over before i could crack my third beer. only if all baseball games were that fast.

i was at the game in 09 when Rollins hit the walk off triple to take a 3-1 series lead. bottom of the ninth, two on, one out boom , cranks it to right center both runs score , game over, series over.

my seats were 400 level right behind home plate, our entire section was empty cause everyone left. it was past midnight at that point and i guess the "phillies fans" had to leave.

$75 per ticket for those seats. unreal.

baseball playoffs are so much better in the comfort of your warm house.

Solid list. I also really enjoyed the Freddie Mitchell 4th and 26 game. Tarnished by that edition of the NFC title game flameout, undermanned with Todd Pinkston vs a 'roided up Carolina team (alas, no Westbrook), but an incredible game, series of moments from 4th and 26 through the ridiculous Favre up for grabs pick to the Akers FG to win.

Good call. 4th and 26 was exciting. As were all the last minute punt return TD wins vs. the Giants.

I was in the house for 4th and 26. I remember drinking Foster's Oil Cans in a failed attempt to stay warm.

the triple to clear the bases late in game 6 and put the phils on top was incredible. i forget how that game ended though.

even though they lost in 93 that was still the best season of my life. i was 13 i think? 8th grade. then 01 sixers and then 08 Phillies, the playoffs just werent that fun less game 5 at LAD, the Phils killed everyone.
Thought dykstra homered in game 6 with 2 on?

I was at World Series game 3 in 08. ND's boy Jamie Moyer pitched a gem. We had the last seats behind home plate at the very top of the stadium. So cold up there my buddies were smoking heaters to keep warm. And yes, they were still cold. Jamie told me he was sick before the game if not for the rain delay he would have been in trouble starting the game on time.

Of course you talked him. You're a 1%er balling DC insider big swinging dick. How were your seats not 1st row behind home?

Nothing will ever top Lenny's interview on Real Sports a couple years ago when he was being touted as a skilled and savvy investor with his "deep in the money calls".
