He has earned another top academic honor. Capital One Second Team Academic All-American for the second straight year. Cherry is a VU finance major. Athlete must have a 3.3 or higher cum. And be a significant contributor to their team.

Yep....I did miss this news.......still looking for it in the news. Congrats to Don......tough, aggressive, player and a tribute to the school.

ML it is easy for us to miss the VU news because our crack media staff does not function well.
You are correct this kid is a credit to our school.

I hear don has a good chance to go in the late rounds.......I know a few teams in the neighborhood that can use him......best of luck and congrats

Academic All-American, something that another school who plays at the Linc, hopes to have someday.
 
Don has fulfilled credit requirements to graduate Villanova Business School as a Finance Manager this month(3 1/2 years) He will train in Florida Jan/ Feb at NFL combine center after signing with agent and then return for training at Nova and attend pro day! Earning AP All American first team along with Academic All American honors will no doubt help him as he takes steps to the next level!
 
Great to hear about Don Cherry's honors in the classroom as well as on the playing field. It says alot about the quality of players and people that Coach Talley and his staff recruit. Nice work by by Don Cherry.
