Fat bio season

You probably need to stretch out the rest of your back side - hamstrings, glutes, hips, maybe back. My experience has been that if those are tight, it will put undue stress on you calf/Achilles/Ankle/plantar fasciitis. I'm talking out of my ass though. I'm not a doc.

I don't really stretch. I never was much for stretching and I ran varsity track and cross country all 5 years of high school, mostly without stretching (other than kind of faking it in warmups). I probably should work on the stretching.

Also, I am carrying about 20 - 25 lbs of fat compared to when I was in high school. If I drop some weight, my knee and shin issues will probably improve. I'm serious about getting in shape so I expect to find out.

I ran last night so I am trying to decide what to do today. I will either be lifting (squats and a few upper body sets).

Where are all the other fat bois? I feel like an attention whore. Anyone else engaging in a muscle grind?

I was 206 two Mays ago. Lost 20 lbs in like 7-8 months.
182 as of this morning. Hit my life low of 178 in September.

The caloric intake is the most important. Working out second. Counting calories makes it an easy mathematical equation. Calorie Counter App is good.

I work out 5-7 days a week. Wouldn't recommend that for everyone. Just something i like to do.

It becomes more important as you get older. Flexibility that used to come naturally needs to be worked on.

No problem TMJ. I wish I could run 5X per week. ACL blowout long ago, with old school reconstruct. Still somehow manage to run occasionally but the knee barks for days after even one run. Hence the biking, which actually tends to improve the knee. It's not as good but it's pretty good when running isn't an option.
