The CoP lucked out with Reid, Gillick and Iverson. If those guys didn't step up and provide some competitive years for their franchises, where would 4for4ers be?

But isn't that 85% of franchises in sports? Very few sustain long-lasting success. Furthermore, there are tons of examples of a fan base getting "lucky" with a good GM, coach, or great player at one point or another.

The "getting lucky" example I hate the most from my lifetime is the Spurs. They luck out with the No. 1 pick in the year David Robinson is there, after having been decent in prior years, having low probability of No. 1. Then, Robinson gets hurt/is intentionally shelved for a time in the year when Duncan is there, and they get No. 1 again. No skill involved in that -- made some nice moves getting guys like Parker and Ginobli, sure, but without Robinson and Duncan, they never win a title. A--holes.

Dynasties that made shrewd moves in my lifetime to establish themselves I hate less. 49ers (West coast offense, good drafting in lots of areas), '90s Cowboys (drafting and timely Walker trade) and recent Lakers (secured Shaq and went after Kobe when no one else wanted to roll the dice on a H.S. guard even of his pedigree).

I might include the Patriots since 2000 with Tom Brady and Belichik in one of these categories or the other but we know well by now it's not luck, it's cheating, may only have one SB at most without it.

The popcorn is in the microwave

It's a whole lot easier if you get a microwave where the bracket is self contained and mounts to the wall and the underside of the cabinet. Then you just slide the microwave into the bracket. Don't forget to plug it in first!
