Has anyone who read the FanPost article about the "future of Villanova Athletics" have a thought on the plan outlined.

"As part of our agreement with Penn State, we will enter a 6 year scheduling arrangement alternating home games, with Penn State hosting 3 games and Villanova hosting 3 home games.

We also announce an agreement to play Temple annually at Lincoln Financial Field, alternating home field. We will plan to play the majority of our remaining home games, including Parents' Weekend and Homecoming, at PPL Park which has a current capacity of 18,500 with a plan to expand to 30,000. This schedule will assure fan interest and will easily bring our home field attendance average above the NCAA hurdle of 15,000."

Read it, It is completely dreaming. Not anything official. But I love that someone (s} is thinking out of the box. It is a great read with lot of good thoughts.

It's well-intentioned, but utterly out of touch with reality, especially on the football side. On the hoops side, the financial projections are laughable, from the assumed sellouts at 14,500 capacity, to the annual revenue that would immediately make Villanova the second highest grossing basketball program in the nation. Anyone think that's likely? Oh, and just for laughs, he thinks we can talk Radnor into selling us a back a piece of land that they bought from us expressly to stop us from building a baseball field on it that would have drawn 300 people to games. Yet, they'd allow us to build a Wells Fargo-sized arena there? good stuff.
