Was talking about this with a coworker about the Royals being gr8 even with Ned Yost. What is a harder head coaching job? Football HC or Baseball Manager? Right off the bat, I thought it was football, but then I remembered Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden being very successful and probably not doing anything and getting the credit. With football you have so many other coaches doing things for you that you can really just assign things like a master delegator.

AL Baseball Manager is next level easy.
So is being senile and coaching a state football program.

coaching in football is way harder than coaching in baseball.

they aren't even in the same stratosphere.

Baseball is the most individually oriented game in all of sports. Football is the most team oriented. That makes coaching football harder.

it is way easier to second guess baseball because the outcomes are so binary. with football coaching, there are a ton of factors that go hand in hand.

For football, at least at some point, you probably had actual strategic responsibility and influence on the preparation and preformance of your team. Every time people talk about good baseball managers, they were good because they excelled at massaging egos.
