Took Towns to school tonight and dominated him on both ends of the floor. I think Towns is terrific but Okafor is the most dominant offensive post player to come out of college in 20 years. At 19, his post moves are just ridiculously good. In addition he blocked two of Towns shots and got him in foul trouble early and was a beast on the boards. The Wolves had to resort to the double team in the second half.

I have not and will not answer the stupid posts about how bad he is and what he can't do and even some saying it was a mistake to pick him. If you have half a brain and know the game a little, you realize how special this kid is.

Nah, cuzzo. He can't play. Let's keep the narrative going.

I opened this thread expecting this sing the praises of okafor. i also expected this to be an alt with a play on matty's name.

instead it was the real matty with a classic matty post.

You can take the 4 for 4'er out of Philly, but you can't take the Philly out of the 4 for 4'er.

If matty wants to splash those keyboards for an 0-16 team and say how gr8 one dude is, then let him go. He is already gone.

The sixers are dreadful and going no where fast, but he is the only reason i tune in .... it was a blessing the lakers took russell. Would love to add Kris Dunn next year

Exactly right about Okafor. Also, Dunn is certainly a possibility.

With FOUR first round picks and TWO high lottery picks along with Saric and maybe? Embid there will be no more excuses or tanking. If by next year at this time, that is not the case, then anyone can come on here and kill them and I will gladly join you. No excuses next year.

what do you get for being more advanced than your peers offensively at 19? who f--king cares?

zinger and towns will improve their post offense. they already have. and they can run and jump and shoot (towns also passes much better) and they play hard.

defense and athleticism are more important than being able to wave the ball around for eight seconds and play static iso basketball on a winless team, even on nights when almost all of your bad shots go in. i'm sure chucky the enabler is telling him different though

the offensive foul against rubio was a disgrace. okafor gets almost as many calls as hansbrough

anyone who thinks okafor is "special' belongs in basketball special ed

he's not a dominant big man because he doesn't rebound or defend. he doesn't even catch it deep enough to be considered a low post scorer. he's a turn and face adrian dantley black hole who happens to be tall. he's not going to become fast or active.

I'm not leading the "Okafor can't play" narrative. I think he's decent. And Noel seems alright too. The gaping void that is the other 13 roster spots is where I am unapologetically negative.

How does Noel average less than 1 block per game? Actually in looking at it, he has a total of 2 blocks in his last 7 games. This guy's value is primarily on defense, and while blocks are not the end all measure of good defense, it is a nice by-product stat if low post defenders. 4.4 per game in college to less than 1 so far this year. Terrible.

Was refreshing to see him dominate Towns in every aspect of the game last night. Completely took him out of the game. Towns was an absolute non factor and jah had his way with him. Absolute stud. Dominant.

Solid post from a solid poster.

Pretty simple... he's covering stretch 4s that pull him away from the rim.

okafor had 6 and 3 in the second half, and while towns had a poor game, he's having a better season and is playing normal basketball--okafor is on a winless team that plays through him (until brown takes him out at the most inopportune moment). the t-wolves aren't going to just pound it in to towns so he wins his individual aau matchup--they're not having second thoughts or anything

and as somebody (nd?) said it's not exactly shocking that noel's not blocking as many shots now that he's playing the 4. they've taken a truly elite rim protector--the only asset they had in uniform--and taken him away from the rim. and noel is completely useless offensively now. if okafor was drop-stepping and dunking and truly kicking ass inside, then them's the breaks. but okafor is really a turn-and-face finesse player who gives you practically nothing defensively

i expected okafor to average about 20 & 8 and most likely win ROY. i just don't see him as a championship piece.in short, the tommy joseph fan club can kiss my black ass

The Sixers are actually not playing that awful lately now that Covington is making some shots. Losing a whole lot of tight games. Yes they suck but they actually are competing now that there's somebody out there making some jumpers. Pretty amazing phenomenon.

Something is seriously wrong with Houston. Ty Lawson seems to be an awful fit. Then again you can't have anyone who likes to dribble a lot on the same court as Harden, who inhales the ball like a porn star inhales dick.

Bump, because why not.

He used a fake ID? What a dumba$$. Doesn't think he might stick out and someone might know how old he is? Am sure plenty of places would let him in without an ID.
