Jared from Subway

Probably isn't a good sign when they bring in the "Evidence Truck".

Never understood how subways made it in the Philly area. Amazing marketing
Good point.

He had a good run. He made millions by being a fat ass then becoming normal. It's a pretty crazy story and probably a similarly crazy ending.

Let he amongst us who hasn't lost hundreds of pounds on a fast foot diet, become a decades long marketing sensation and peddled kiddie smut cast the first stone.
Imagine his life as a fat man led to this downfall. Walk a mile in shoes...he couldn't before subway. Have empathy for his plight.

I don't get how anyone in the Northeast can go to Subway, Quiznos, Jimmy John's etc. with a straight face. Way to many great local joints to resort to the lowest common denominator for sandwich artistry.

Sick bastard. I hope he gets hammered with his sentence. He supposedly was traveling to Thailand and his buddy/co-defendant had filmed himself molesting at least one kid in Indiana.

The craziest part is that he has 2 kids himself. You would think he'd empathize more. The parents of his kids' friends must be freaking out.

If he survives his time in jail, imagine how fat he is going to get once he is released. He was 425 at 18. Now, with no one paying him to diet, he is going to explode.

I don't think of the CoDB having many local joints. Would love to here some recommendations.

Jimmy John's might have the worst commercials ever.

Best one I saw on Twitter:

Jared Fogle is pleading guilty to child porn charges. Guess that means in prison he will be tasting a different kind of foot long for now on

Alidoro
Delfonte's (although I think the one in Manhattan closed)
Porchetta
Num Pang
Katz's / pretty much any jewish deli
DiSO's truck
Almost any corner deli

Add Sarcone's Deli to the list.

Even Primo's and Capriotti's crush those other chain places.

Alidoro - will try
Delfonte's (although I think the one in Manhattan closed) - it did, I miss it
Porchetta - one trick pony
Num Pang - good but small sandwiches and overpriced
Katz's / pretty much any jewish deli - good but not convenient and not an everyday sandwich imo
DiSO's truck - will try
Almost any corner deli - like bodegas?

Could "fresh" sneakers be more generally filed under "Mitchell and Ness"?

Probably not. I'm a CoPer and never heard of Mitchell and Ness. I do like sneakers, though, and wear them whenever possible.

I agree with the fact that Num Pang is expensive and small but it's damn good. Maybe a little inconsistent but usually very good.

Alidoro and DiSO are similar. My only complaint is that the rolls can be too chewy. Sometimes it can be too much to work through an entire sandwich.

Love a good Alidoro, go early.

Jewish Delis in NY are more overrated than a Chip Kelly offense.
