We all know Jay Wright is now forever part of Villanova lore but I was curious on what folks think it will take for him to become a HoF coach? His resume right now is on the cusp IMO when I perused the list of HoF coaches. Certainly the NCAA National Championship goes a long way. He is 24 wins from 500 with 20+ win seasons practically a given at this point.
I think this may play in with Wright's NBA decision. I could see him giving Villanova 2-4 more great years. Perhaps another deep tournament run or two and get around 550 wins and solidify his spot in College basketball lore and then give the NBA a shake before he is 60. That probably would align with Baker getting 2-4 years of HC experience and being a great option for our next HC. I could get behind this totally made up plan
