What a shame.
Typical Villanova.
It,s not the University.
It,s somebody else making the decision.
What a ridiculous place.
Everyone else is calling the shots.
Gee, after 40 yrs, it is so apparent that
the University holds athletics not in
low regard, but no regard.
Destruction of the track program.
Destruction of the basketball.
If this place had any interest in athletics,
the school would be poised to do something
positive.
Rumor has it that the Big 12 is contemplating expansion,
let,s say Villanova & Connecticut.
At Villanova, sports is not important, not a priority.
What is the agenda ?
Who makes these decisions ?
Does the Board of Trustees have a say in anything.
Or is it a multitude of rich people, impressed with themselves
who do what ever the priest says.
Undoubtedly rubber stamping at its best.

Just saying.

post very confusing to me and disagree on destruction of track and bb

I wish Joe the very best in his future endeavors. He brought a sense of gravitas and class to the football broadcasts that will be greatly missed. In an unparalleled example of devotion to VU Athletics, Joe followed through and appeared at the Howie Long Golf Classic for Bob Capone just days after he was informed he had been let go by our University. Few thing impress me; that did.

Joe was the scheduled MC for the event. Classy move to show up.

I echo what my brother DC said. Just like the Phils broadcasts have not been the same since Harry the K left, neither will Villanova's.

It will be interesting to see who the the new broadcast tandem is.

Welcome back PAFranklin. You were missed.
I know how much you will miss Joe.

Lost me at the Big 12 wanting Villanova. Not sure what school you have been following.

Ryan Fannon moving over to play-by-play and Kevin Reilly doing color. I think that was mentioned somewhere???

Joe and Kevin would have been a good team. They could have used Ryan as an on field guy, getting injury updates, etc. although I am sure Ryann wanted the play by play gig.
