It's a neverending con with Lenny. Not buying the blackmailing umps. I do believe he didn't read much, and remember in '93 reading an interview with his wife (they were doing some weekly "get to the know the Phillies" feature in the paper and he wouldn't talk to them) where she said he only read comic books b/c he didn't want to hurt his batting eye.
