I will be going up Cicero North Syracuse then ; I am especially interested in Margey. She is to seeded in the 800 at 2:08+ while second seed is a nnith grader from Garden City who has run 2:09. Cain is to seeded at the 1500 with Margey is second quite a time behind. Our recruit from Pearl River is well back in the 800 for boys at 1:54+. Are there other names I should be looking for?

The school where I taught for a long time has a soph who is top seeded at the 400 at 49+ in the small school division. He recently had a 1:54+ split in the 4x800. I think he could run 48 something scratch and close to 1:53
for 800.

OT: UB57,

Bo Roberson won a silver in the long jump in 1960 while taking second to
Ralph Boston; he also played eight years or so in the AFL.

Home from Syracuse, and I am cold and wet: all things considered it was an outstanding day. I an simply going to highlight things after two murtinis:

I wanted to see Margey versus Cain in the 1500. Margey is big and strong, and she won the the 800 easily in about 2:08; Cain didn't run yesterday, and she was ready today. She is so thin she only has one side. She went out early for about a 40 yard lead and finished at about he same distance in 4:17. Margey made a move in the last lap, but Cain was just too much. Margery was seond in close to 4:24.

The best r

,race of the day was the 1500 between two winners from Friday Watkins won the 800 in pedestrian to get ready for a showdown with the F_M junior Nick Ryan who won the 3200 hundred yesterday.
Watkins , who will go to PSU, made a move in the final backstretch and actually passes Ryan, but Ryan win 4:05 to 4:07. Watkins has never run X country because he is a football player.might be very good at PSU.
Keenan Brennan, a recruit of ours, opened with a a PR of 1:52 for a personal best. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our super soph from Norwich. He ran a scratch 1:53 in the 4x800; h might be a great miler next year.
