No Lady Cats 4 X 800 Penn Relay

Coach says they'll concentrate on getting ready for next weeks BE Championship.

Probably a smart move. The women don't have enough this year.

Penn State won the men's over Oregon. The men ran well. McEntee was under 1:50, Ellison was at 1:50, and Fitzsimmons was a few hundredths over 1:50.

In the high school races, the best time of the day was a junior from VA named Nathan Kiley with a 1:51.

Penn State has a pretty darn good stock of 400/800 men. They won the DMR and 4x800 and came in 2nd in the 4x400. Loxsom, their best 800 man, and Brady Gehret, best 400M man, are studs. Gehret was a super HS sprinter from Western PA. He had the top 400M split in the sprint med. relay. To make it worse for Nova, all 3 guys on their 4x400 team were PA kids, 2 from Cheltenham and 2 from Altoona. 2 of 4 on their 4x800 team were from PA with 1 from MD and 1 from CT.
