Poppy Livers

Classes started for second semester last Monday. However Poppy returned to campus a few weeks before that in order to continue working out for a try out for the pros. Kid might make it as a return guy. Also said he definitely did not step out of bounds on that critical pass play late in the SHST game. Remember the play on Cats last drive, Polony hooked up with Poppy on a 3rd and 16 for a big gain. Poppy was running down side line in front of SHST bench. Ref said he stepped out. Cost Cats about 20 yds. Cats missed the FG( a delay of game penalty did not help either). Those yds taken from Poppy's catch and run were big.

His 67 yd punt return for 6 against you guys was truly beautiful. I think he returned another punt for 13 yds. He led our receivers with 5 catches for 58 yds.
He is a good kid, a good student and a credit to his family.
