We are picked to be 14th. Surprised. I'm not.

Unfortunately the program looks like it is in free fall. Checked the roster and Shannon Elliot is not on it. What gives?

No drama with Shannon. Program is not saying anything except she chose not to come out.Scanlon is still having problems with foot and may not see full playing time. Leer may be called on to play this year.

Recall that Shannon Elliot had two probable concussions near the end of last season. With the limited playing time she was getting and the unknown of long-term damage for recurring concussions, maybe it was a no-brainer to take your degree and move on.

Heather Scanlon was hobbled for the last month of last season and didn't seem to have improved any two months after the season at the awards banquet so I don't see her being able to go 100% for long into the season.

I have no idea if Leer would be overwhelmed or not. Also know little about the other freshman forward from the DC area that had nice press clippings. Scanlon certainly wasn't ready go as a true freshman and wound up red-shirting her sophomore year. In any event we will be truly challenged in the forecourt as always. Trying to keep Della Donne from putting up 35 plus against us with her inside/outside game will be a test early on.

Lots of local or weekend away games ripe for some road trips this year; didn't make it to any last year.
