It was Hasay, Infeld, and Reid at the bell -- Reid went by Hasay with about 200 to go, followed by Infeld. Reid then held off Infeld of Georgetown. Hasay faded and was caught for 3rd by D'Agostino of Dartmouth.

Great perf. by Reid. Ran a very smart race given that she is doubling back. As she said in her postrace int."I didn't want to take the lead until I knew I could hold it". She looked very fresh coming down the stretch, I think she still has something left for tmrw.

Mimic was 11th.

Old Jumbo Elliott dictum: "Make one move, and one move only." That's what Reid did tonight. Class of '90 is correct -- masterful tactics for the win.

It was actually just like the cross country championships. Reid, Infeld and Hasay broke away from the pack and down the stretch Reid edges Infeld. 1-2 Reid-Infeld in about a dozen races. Congrats to Sheila. Reid deserves all the credit as she's just a fantastic runner but Emily is pretty darn good too.

Agreed -- Infeld is under-appreciated in many ways. Save for the existence of Sheila Reid, Infeld might very well have won 2 individual national titles this past year. Awesome talent.

And she runs 37 seconds faster for that distance than she ever has before. Today's race should be special. I watched her run at the BE XCountry Championship in Syracuse, and she knew when to make her move there also.
