So, Big 10/ACC challenge and Big 12/SEC challenge schedules came out.
Many people wanted Michigan St, Indiana, Michigan or even Ohio St. (Most people knew we wouldn't play Maryland) While I selfishly wanted IU (good buddy went to IU) it makes sense why MSU didn't want us...
1) Play in Champions Classic against Kentucky
2) Play Arizona in Hawaii
3) Play in Bahamas - (MSU, Louisville, Wichita St, Baylor, LSU, VCU, SJU, Old Dominion)
4) ACC/Big 10 challenge vs. Duke
No kidding they didn't want to play another top 10 team
Ohio St - I think Purdue is better, but people wanted them (for some reason)
1) UCLA in Vegas
2) UConn
3) Virginia (Big 10/ACC challenge)
4) Providence (Gavitt Games)
But traditionally, Ohio St has played 3 games a year against major conference teams (or counting UConn) over the past 3 years...so they're actually improving their schedule here.
Michigan is not going to be very good. Here is their schedule:
1) Virginia Tech (Big 10/ACC)
2) UCLA
3) Cincinnati
4) 2k sports (Pitt, SMU, Marquette)
5) Xavier
Sure, we could have gotten Michigan, but they stink. Purdue is much better.
Indiana has a pretty loaded schedule:
1) UNC (Big 10/ACC)
2) Kansas
3) Butler
4) Louisville
5) Creighton
Indiana has averaged 4 major conference OOC games each year over the past 3 years.
If we were on the other end, not sure we would have wanted to play these schedules because of how people bitch and complain when we lose.
Purdue's schedule, has solid teams, but only 2 other top teams:
1) Villanova
2) Cancun challenge (Auburn, Utah St, Texas Tech)
3) Louisville (Big 10/ACC)
4) Arizona St at MSG
5) Notre Dame for Crossroads Classic
