The number of players on a bench/team ??

I know there is a limit to the number of "ships" you can have. Is there a limit to the number of player you can have on the team?

There was an article in the LA times today about UCLA next year "UCLA must now look to next season" There is the article and then below, under How the Bruins Look Next Season, there is a list of 19 players! 4 of them are listed as walk ons? Of the 19 4 are highly decorated freshmen.

They seem to have an abundance of talent. Does Alford just suck as a coach?
