If you are going to sexually exploit emotionally-disturbed, poor people, you better at least tip them. You don't need to be a psychiatrist to know that. $100 cash is an insult from a mainline millionaire.
 
Sounds like he was a closet gay, met some guy for sex in a hotel room, and then either got murdered or had some BDSM stuff go wrong. I don't see where tipping comes in, and both parties appear to have been Caucasian so our usual VUSports euphemism doesn't apply.

I thought it was "keep the tip." I guess there are alternative punch lines.

In a stunning twist, the psychiatrist's visitor is now reported to be a male prostitute. So this sleazy guy was using his wealth to sexually prey upon the underclass and we are supposed to morn his loss? A doctor who has likely "treated" victims of sexual abuse was committing abuse himself.

Also not buying into him committing sexual abuse himself. These are male prostitues who willingly are selling their ass and often times looking to rob their customers. Not like he Sanduskied a few kids.
 
You think a 27 year-old homeless guy is eager for a romp with a guy 50 years older? The old perv was exploiting his financial advantage. If the prostitute wanted to be there he wouldn't need to be paid.

And the bad tipper part isn't rocket science. It's just a lame joke based on ethnic stereotypes that pop up in here (and elsewhere). Despite the majority of the comments here, it isn't only one group that has been stereotyped as bad tippers or cheap.

Well let's see. An "original bad tipper" has a male guest 50 years younger than him. The doctor had only $100 cash in his possession. He's found naked with a belt around his neck.

It was educated speculation that it was a prostitute that killed him. The guy was not intending to pay him much given his measly $100 cash. Is that why he got killed? Probably not. But he was cheap nonetheless.

The ethnic shit was really just a joke but the circumstances are sleazy.
 
What's the going rate for a street hustler these days? Is $100 so low as to be an insult worthy of death? You seem to be up on these things.
 
It depends on your customer base. I would say $100 for a 75 year-old millionaire is pretty low. My rate would be around 50 million or more. Then again, I'm not homeless so I'm not as easy to exploit.

I never said it was worthy of death. I just said I won't miss him. The killer will get at least 20 years in jail. I feel bad for the doctor's wife. This had to be a startling event all around.

Not really. Some high end escorts have an established rate and let it be known that tipping for good service is expected just like at dinner. A crack ho you pick up in Camden is $20 with no tipping required

No. A wealthy man who took the Hippocratic oath should not be preying on impoverished, emotionally disturbed young men while holding himself out as a helper of the ill. He takes money to counsel some while proliferating emotional and sexual abuse on others in his free time.

The money is relevant in that he apparently only valued another man's dignity at $100. He probably charged many times that per session to help patients recover from similar trauma.

And I'll be clear. I am not trying to justify murder. I am simply pointing out that he put himself in a dangerous situation. Sometimes people who are subjugated and helpless lack the same moral compass compared to the rest of us. I expect more from the Doctor.
 
I'm impressed how seamlessly this transitioned from the original anti-semitic "joke", into a Moral Majority anti-prostitution stance, and finally segueing into a Bolshevik style rant about how the rich exploit the poor. Bravo. Cap tip. Full Marx.

Sounds to me like two users' worlds collided. One wanted to exploit the other for sex. The other wanted his cash without having to participate in the sex.

The killer should have found a better way to support himself. He also should have placed a higher value on human life. He took a guy's life for $100.

The doctor should have pursued consensual, non-exploitative relationships with age-appropriate partners. He tried to take a guy's dignity for $100.

But, again, I expect more from a respected doctor than I do from a homeless man.

It's not just that the rich exploit the poor. This was a respected psychiatrist sexually exploiting a homeless man.
