12:00 AM Villanova at St. John's New York, NY (Fox) (Villanova 95%)
.........
Butler is sitting at 3-5 in BE conference play - they have already between DePaul twice and St. John's. Two games against Marquette and one more against St. John's remain as games against the 3 bottom feeders in the league. Butler needs to start getting road wins and wins against better teams if they want to get to the NCAA Tournament. 3-6 with the only wins being DePaul(2) and St. John's puts Butler WAY behind the other BE teams looking to dance. In other words - Bulldogs really need this win. Marq won at Providence and swept St. John's - if they beat Butler today they jump Butler in the standings and possibly in NCAA bid chances??
X should handle DePaul - if not, they should exit the Top 10 of the AP Poll.
Unfortunately Prov @ GTown and SHU @ Creigh are on at the same time. You may want to watch one and DVR the other to watch when the other ends. As someone who can't stand Georgetown, I would like to see Providence clean their clock - the silver lining is that if the Hoyas pull out the W, it gives Villanova a 3 game lead in the Loss column over the Friars (the one team that has beaten 'Nova in league play so far).
After gagging at Georgetown, Creighton is back at home with a chance to pick up a solid win over SHU (who they beat by 15 in NJ earlier this year). If Creighton wins they move to 6-3 and knock the Hall down to 4-5 ... that would be an interesting result given that SHU is viewed as the more likely NCAA Tournament entry.
