Tim Donaghy: White Power!

Donague grew up a few streets down from me. he was about 10 years older. everyone hated him.

If you don't submit to the racial caste system in prison, you're very likely going to be in trouble.

i went to Springfield High . Burrs lives in Westbrook Park which is on the other side of Bishop Ave. we used to hang there all the time, thought we were tough guys which we were not. right by the getty mart or westbrook park middle school.

Springfield High? So you are basically a self hating Delco guy? No wonder you are the way you are. You can't be that rich and important if you didn't even go to private school. You didn't even go to O'Hara - it all makes sense now.

Burrs doesn't live in Westbrook Park. Not that there is anything wrong with that. That's Upper Darby SD. I live in Springfield SD.

I'm a Delco transplant. I know all of those areas. Maybe we can arrange a sitdown.

We can also invite people from NC as long as the fake flights are running as scheduled.

The funny part about Delco is that you only say you are from Delco if you live in the shitty areas. The rest of the people say they are from Newtown Square, Broomall, Radnor etc.

Have you guys ever had Delco Original Steaks? I never heard of it until I was at spring training this year and had one at the game. Pretty good.

True. The neighborhoods as you go down Rt. 3 towards 69th street are mostly what I was talking about.

Bingo. I drive thru part of this area to get to school. Straight down state road, cross over West Chester Pike, and drive thru Cobbs into Overbrook. I spent a lot of time covering games in HS's throughout Philly, so this stuff doesn't really phase me. Parts of North Philky make this area look like Beverly Hills.

Where is this at? A lot of east Delco guys rave about Leo's on Chester Pike. Not bad, per usual they overrated it.

yeah there is one in Chadds Ford in Painters crossing. it actually might be the only one.

I went to Holy Cross, Springfield , Villanova. my parents had 5 kids, my brother and i were sent to Springfield, the rest went to private school. they didnt have the money at the time we were ready for HS.

Ohara blows, private school is friends schools or inter ac.

Burrs I thought you lived in Westbrook park, you live in Colonial Park Springfied? if so near any parks or schools for reference? thats where i grew up , right behind Holy cross. used to be a great great area. its still nice, but the Clifton Area is changing.

You also only say it if you grew up there. Thus, I don't use it.

to clarify Delco steaks is in chadds ford pa. at least the one i know of.

beverly hills middle school area is horrible. but Drexel Hill still has some very very nice areas. those houses are what overbrook used to look like. love Delco. just hate the people changing it.

didnt philly want to expand to take in Upper Darby for a bigger tax base? that would be fine with me. 69th St is basically philly. and do those people really pay taxes?

I play in a basketball league at Beverly Hills Middle School on Sunday nights - season just ended. We have been using it since I was young. That place has not changed at all. It is the same backboards, rims, nets etc.

It definitely is shitty around there. People have had their cars broken into while we were in the gym. Definitely an area where you don't even let loose change out in your car.

The Beverly Hills section of Upper Darby or California?

Ellison Glen is the park down the street.

Ha ha. I was referring to Cali. My best friend taught at BH for 7-8 years. Huge middle school. Also wild.
Any idea what the demographics are there? I have always wondered. It is a huge school. We couldn't get the lights on in the main gym for our playoffs on Sunday so we played the first game in a half lit gym and then played the championship in their secondary gym. We walked through the school to get to it and I had no idea it was that big.

About 80% black with white/Asian making up the difference. A lot of west Africans and South American population is rising. Supposedly a lot of kids from Ecuador. Interesting. 1500 students in three grades from mostly low economic families; 90% on federal lunch program.

This is what I love about 4.6. The original thread topic only lasts about 4 posts before it moves to the prevailing conversation of the day. You really can't know what is being discussed in a thread by the title.

Burrs - you probably live a block from my parents. you can see the entrance of ellson from their front door.

that was the best playing baseball there for the 11-12 year old S.A.A league. just walked down 30 mins before the game started.
