If the NCAA website is correct, it appears that the top seeded UNH is NOT hosting their game vs. Chattanooga on Friday night. I guess Chattanooga outbid them for the game or UNH's high school-like field doesn't have lights ? All other higher seeds are hosting their games this weekend

Was up in new hampshire this past weekend. Didn't hear a single peep about their #1 ranked football team. Just no interest at all.

Maybe they smartened up and cancelled the game so they could save some money and spend it on other university interests?

Also goes to show how little interest there is in fcs football if teams are allowed to just out bid each other for home games.

The higher seed is always the home team regardless of how they are bracketed.

Not necessarily, at the FCS level schools still have to "bid" and meet certain NCAA minimum financial "guarantees" in order to host playoff games. Don't recall a situation where a seeded team didn't play host to a non-seeded team but it could happen. Even with VU reporting just over 3k attendance, at $20 a ticket you get a number that 75% of is above the minimum threshold required to host the game.

The minimums might have gone up since 2010, but you can read about it(and everything else about an FCS playoff game that the NCAA enforces) at the link below.
