Dayton's head coach Archie Miller. Not the Flyers, their coach. Watching La Salle at Dayton right now and this Flyer squad will blow the Explorers off the court. Miller gets more out of less than any coach I can remember. The Flyers are a solid squad this season with Steve McElvene in the low post, Kendall Pollard and DyShawn Pierre on the wing and Scoochie Smith and Kyle Davis in the back court. He has been at Dayton for 5 years (1st HC gig) compiling 107-50. Those early seasons when he had to work with Gregory's leftovers, were brutal, but winning. Last season he took a squad with no one taller than 6-6 to the Sweet Sixteen. This season shows he can recruit.
If he gets this squad to the Elite Eight, it will be very difficult to see him not draw serious attention in the off season. Wish DePaul (Marquette) or St. John's had been on him earlier. He is the kind of coach you hate to face, but love if he is coaching your guys.
