The best was when a past his prime Vlad got a hit on a ball that bounced in front of the plate.

Just a savage baseball player. Not often do you see a guy that's a free swinger, hits for average, hits for power and still can draw a few walks. And the OF arm, too.

Yes, OMYC. Grew up in Bloomfield. Not too much of a baseball fan now because I haven't lived anywhere near a major league team in 20 years and IMO baseball is only good if you can go to the games. TV games suck. As for me being like Dmil, that's just the usual crap ND spews on 4.6. He has never met me and probably Dmil either. Take his routine with a big grain of salt. He used to be a really good poster but now that he thinks he's an entertainer, the quality of his posts has really fallen off.

Not only did Vlad swing at everything, he let it all hang out when he swung. And he still didn't strike out a lot...as a matter of fact, he never ahd a 100 strike out season.

I don't think anyone really replaced him as the biggest badass in the MLB.

The Cuban Guys (Puig, Cespedes, Martin) are the closest we have now. All have guns and power.
