The breakup of the old big east has definitely hurt the quality of the conf. champ. 8 teams, several just don't have much. Nova men and women win quite easily. No surprise. A lot of points from a lot of athletes who probably wouldn't have even placed in the old big east.

More importantly, the men and women's middle distance runners did run well enough to win the old Big East.
Jordy Williamsz unleashed a kick from about 250m out in the 1500 that looked like it came from Eamonn Coghlan. With about 50m left, he looked back, slowed down, and coasted to the finish like it was a prelim. His last lap wound up being 54.8, but it pretty easily could have been a second and a half faster. He looks like he's in pretty good shape.
