Played like Phil Booth today.

...stats are still first rate after each game...however imho it seems lately that he's having problems dribbling in the lane and attacking the rim...turnovers, bad passes, having trouble getting out of a double team etc...

Can anyone explain to me why Josh cannot get a favorable whistle? I think he was fouled multiple times in that game and cannot get a call. It seems to be a trend with him and I can't figure it out because normally the guys that play more aggressive get the whistle. This is not a one game thing this is a trend.

At least 3 different times this post season I have heard Jay say "we want to win a national championship". I do not remember him ever saying that before. In fact a couple years ago there was a debate about how Jay publicly under-sold the importance of winning a NC. I could be wrong but I definitely sense a different Jay this post season. I don't know if it's his evolution as the head coach of a team that has been ranked top 10 for 3 years, or finally being #1 in the country. In fact I recall reading on here some people felt Jay valued winning the BET more than a NC. Has anyone else sensed the same thing? Could also be the fact there is no elite team this year.

...but according to the CBS chatter boxes, Iowa lost it because everything went wrong for them and, to quote Greg Gumbel, "everything went right for Villanova." Did VU play well enough to force Iowa into playing poorly or am I just wearing my Wildcat Goggles?

So, how many "experts" will be picking Miami because?

Just think this was a more fundamental win on all angles. While Iowa doesn't have the same pedigree as UCLA, this team just didn't let any noise bother them today. That first half was clinical and aside from a few moments in the 2nd half (don't blame a sign of sloppiness up 30 with 15 minutes left), this team was focused, relentless, and didn't give a f*ck about what anyone has been saying along the way. While I thoroughly enjoyed that win, in my opinion , this team has way more to offer than that. Lets go 'Cats!

Also, for those who don't think Chris Lykes can play at this level, SFA has a 5 ft 7 PG who controls the game and is a pest on defense. Lykes much better. (Number 10 on purple)

Finally! On to the Sweet 16. I'm so glad for the team but especially for Daniel & Archi. If we play next week like we played today (especially in the first half) we can beat Kansas!

Is toast!!! That first half was one for the ages. It was something WE will talk about on here for years to come. Now let's get some rest and get ready for another football school.
