Season 1 wrapped up last night. Anyone get all the way through?

Some great characters on the show and, overall, a very good first season. I predict it falls off considerably in season two though.

Unbelieveable defense by the Cats. Had been ahead 14-0. Then Fordham scored 7 against our blitz. From then on we missed 2 FGs while holding Fordham scoreless. We'd likely been able to score again from down at the 12 but just chose to run out the clock. Tough win. Go Cats. UConn beat Army. Temple and Cincy 3-3 so far. Owls D is really tough.

Playing their first two games at home (must be nice) UD beat Lafayette 19 - 9. Kept Lafayette out of the end zone. Only allowed Lafayette three FGs. I don't think VU has three FGs in two seasons. ATTENTION ATTENTION Worried about Nova field goal kicking? Try this - Delaware got a big lift on special teams as redshirt freshman kicker Frank Raggo connected on a school record - tying four FGs, including a 45 yarder just before half to give Hens a 13 - 3 lead, and a 22 yarder with 28 seconds left in the game that sealed the UD victory. My guess he was under pressure on these two.
Some fun next Saturday.
BTW W&M went up to Lafayette last week and put a hurting on them 34 - 7.
CAA is beating up PAT Conference teams (JMU 55 Lehigh 17) Nova 14 - Fordham 7 UNH 26 Colgate - 8 UD 19 Lafayette 9 .Lafayette is 0-2 vs CAA.

Cats defense led by Cherry, Paris et al. does the dirty work in the rain stifles Rams offense. Cats offense still work in progress but RB White (153 yds gained) WR Wells , Frosh McClintock show progress. JR has second un Peyton like game but does enough. Throws for one (12-18), scores one on ground gains 102 yds. Doesn't look like a #2 team at this point.

To the alums and fans who continue to support Villanova Basketball financially or by means of donating time/energy to the squad. Those who know me best would attest I geek out over stuff like this. Personally, I think this turned out very well.

pirlo to NYCFC?

Women's World Cup and the gold cup occupied my summer, but now it is mls time. Catching up on some games. Watched the Orlando v NYCFC replay. Fantastic action. I have really enjoyed watching Kaka, but that was my first good glimpse of David Villa. Guy is great. Pirlo really looked smooth out there.

Sabastian Giovinco is the highest paid Italian soccer player in the world? That's shocking. First I had no clue Series A paid their stars less than MLS soccer. but even if that is the case I figured some of their stars would end up cashing in playing in Spain or England. Giovinco isn't even the top paid MLS player this season.

Really looking forward to the fall push towards the playoffs.
