After a long and winding journey, Villanova has finally closed out the class of 2018 with its coveted point guard, as five-star Jahvon Quinerly announced his commitment to Villanova Wednesday morning. Story coming.

There has been talk today about holding him out for the Xavier game.
His status for the Providence game on Wednesday would appear to be uncertain.

Via Pat Lawless on twitter, 2018 five-star PG Jahvon Quinerly will announce his college decision on Wednesday.

Nova fans remember that Quinerly was down to Arizona and Villanova in August before picking those other Wildcats. Quinerly then decommitted following the announcement of the FBI investigation regarding several schools, including Arizona.

There has been a lot of buzz around Quinerly's recruitment the past few weeks, indicating a decision was on the horizon, and including a lot of whispers about Villanova.

I've already expressed my concerns regarding Quinerly, stemming mainly from potential eligibility issues, but it's hard not to be excited by his talent. If he were to be eligible, it's easy to see how Quinerly would compliment the 2018 class, joining Cole Swider and Brandon Slater to provide Villanova with an impressive and formidable trio.

BarstoolReags is reporting Eric Paschall has suffered a concussion and will miss tonight's game against St. John's. There has been no official word from the team. If the report is accurate, Nova will certainly be tested tonight.

Lastest speculation is that Courtney Ramey has cancelled his visit to Villanova as Jahvon Quinerly will commit to Villanova prior to Ramey's planned Feb 10 visit. What has been considered as a long shot, in view of the baggage Quinerly brings with him, may actually be happening.

An update on the lone remaining 2018 target, Courtney Ramey. Ramey is scheduled to visit Villanova on February 10, when the Cats take on Butler. When discussing the visit, Ramey said he "wants to see the fan support." If revenge on the Bulldogs wasn't enough to get Nova Nation hyped for the Butler game, knowing a recruit will be paying attention should certainly get the job done. So if you're going to the game on February 10, make sure to bring your "A" game and tell your friends to do the same.
