Will the non-unc crowd support 'Nova tomorrow?

I've been reading the boards.

Seems kind of mixed. 'cuse fans are evenly split. Some rooting for us because of the old Big east or generally hate unc. Some rooting against 'Nova to now support ACC, hate to see us have more championships than them, or lose future recruits to us.

Oklahoma fans no idea. They seemed very complimentary of our team.

I figure the neutral fans would hop on rooting for the underdog.

A little chuckle

after the VU pre game party, myself and buddy (not heidle), were walking to the game having general conversation about the possibilities. Behind us were 2 Okie crackers, who started a bit of brag talk about Pearl Harbor. We did not respond with anything but enjoy the game.

At half of Cuse/Tarheels we left and lo and behold saw the 2 Okies waiting for uber pick up. We smiled and said that 6 six TD spread was never on our mind when the Cats went for 2 after the first 2 touchdowns.

Thought we were going to half to call for reinforcements but cooler heads prevailed.

NRG Stadium Question & 'Nova Section

Heading down first thing tomorrow morning. Want to put an apology disclaimer on this as I'm sure it's been covered in several other threads.

Do we know what the designated 'Nova section is? Going to try and get two seats on StubHub in relative proximity.

Also, if forced with the option of only being able to choose between sitting centrally with respect to the court (but higher) versus sitting closer to the floor, which of the two do you think is more important?

Thank you to everyone in advance. Look forward to linking up tomorrow afternoon for pre-game with all of 'Nova Nation.

Pregnant Wife...Couldn't Get Down to Houston until Monday, 2 Tickets

Hey guys, hope everyone made it down to Houston. I was supposed get down there this morning because my wife is pregnant, and not going to be able to make it until Monday if we win. I have tickets, but my tickets are at the Hilton and would love to give them to any 2 'Nova Nation people for tonight to represent while I am here at the Gamewatch in NYC.

Please e-mail me ASAP at will@spotible.com and we will touch base and hopefully figure something out for 2 diehard Nova Nation people who haven't gotten their tickets yet.

Running Errands on Sunday Morning

So I'm driving around town this morning running errands with my wife. Of course I am wearing my Villanova jacket that USMC01 gave me a heads up on last year. We walk into the supermarket, and a woman races up to us and says, "I hope you guys win tomorrow, what a great school." I thanked her and said it's a great day to be a Wildcat. Two more total strangers wish VU good luck on Monday.

We go to the pet store to get some dog food and I hear someone say to his wife, "hold on, I have to talk to this guy." His wife says, Oh, Villanova." The guy opens his jacket, and he is wearing a Jackson Hall sweatshirt. It turns out Fr Ray Jackson was his brother. I told him Jackson Hall was built after my time, but I remembered his brother and balloon day, which addressed world hunger. He seemed genuinely touched that I remembered his brother and we talked for about five minutes before headed off in different directions.

It reminded me of 1985 after the team won it all when I would be stopped anytime I had anything on that said Villanova. I think the team and coach put such a positive face out for the University, it is hard to not like them.

It is a great day to be a Wildcat.

really happy for some of the attention and notoriety our guys are getting

most of us posters here live in a vu sports and big east bubble. With the fox contract we have, it's been wonderful for us to see and enjoy how great our players have been all season and really the last 3 seasons. That being said, it seems like we have discussed ad nauseum, that the team and our guys haven't gotten as much respect or recognition as many of us feel they deserved. Several reasons for it, which we all know, most of them non conspiracy or bias; just the nature of the beast. So truly one of the best parts of his run that I am enjoying the most is seeing our guys become household names in the general sports media circles. Hearing Francesa this week kow our guys and call out big plays. Hearing the sports reporters today talk about how good josh hart is and has been and the nation seeing it. Really really happy for these guys and this program. We all live it all season long but it's great for the nation to see it as well.
