OT: foxcatcher

Just finally got around to watching this now that Hoops is over. I never see movies during basketball season. But what a great movie. Dupont was so bizarre. No mention of Nova at all in the entire movie. In fact, most of the movie was not filmed around that area. Is that estate still existent out in Newtown Square?

Didn't some on here say they had seen Dupont around when they were at Nova. What was he like? I was there just after he was the coach and the whole Schultz murder went down.

Saw Mark Schultz mention that the reason he flew in from Cali in the 1st place was to be an asst coach at NOva under Dupont. He said the movie never even mentioned that. Did anyone know him when he was at Nova?

OT:Tiger Woods.

He is reminding me why I can't stand him. Cursing and behaving like a petulant child on any shot that doesn't please him.
He may receive a small fine for his behavior but it will never be made public.
I await his next outburst. After all that he birdies the hole.
I guess some children never grow up..

Ennis Transferring is a NET POSITIVE

Really have no concerns whatsoever with Dylan transferring. What we lose in defense and senior leadership will be far exceeded by what we gain across the board with Booth and Brunson playing more minutes as a result of Ennis transferring, and its not even close.

I am actually very relieved that Ennis is transferring. I believe we have two young stud guards who are well worthy of his minutes.

Switching Everything on D

I know we're not supposed to talk about actual hoops but I would love to get thoughts on the subject. It's been well documented that Wisky killed Kentucky by taking advantage of mis-matches on switches. Good coaches seem to take advantage of these situations (I'm having flashbacks to watching teams abuse Mouph by making him guard on the perimeter). So here is my question, especially coming into next season where I expect our defense to be a work in progress: is it time to for Jay to start tweaking the defense the same way we tweaked our offense away from Take "Em? And for those who might want to point out that we are simply playing more to our personnel I'm good with that as well. Bo Ryan abused Cal and he refused to stop switching. It was one of the larger issues that cost UK a title. Next season I think we need to extend less and play more base defenses. Love to hear thoughts on the topic. Specifically, is it time for Jay to stop switching everything especially given our team entering next season?

Lamar Stevens and Can Reddish last night

In probably one of the best games I have seen in Conshy Lamar Stevens and Can Reddish were defeated last night by Team Hardnett (Tony Carr and Levan Alston)

Stevens I thought played pretty well, he was hammpared with foul trouble the whole game. But he was able to his a couple of jum shots, two from top of the key and one going baseline to his right. I had him for 17&10 last night. He made a big effort to get in the post last night. The guards he was playing with were a little shot happy. I like his game, I think he will be productive at any school he decides to go to. He has a college ready body already.

Can Reddish I thought played well last night as well. He was quite in the first half but made a big impact in the second half. He hit a couple of threes and was able to go into the late a couple of time and create contact. I had him for 19pts as well. I think he is going to be really good, I love his game. It is hard to believe he is only 9th grade. I have seen Henderson and Ellington in 9th grade at Donofrio against good competition and look lost, he looked like he belonged last night.
