They can't just run against Obama Care and abuse of power. If I were advising them, here's what I'd suggest the plan should be.
1.) Phase out the corporate and personal income tax over a five year period and phase in a fair tax. Abolish the IRS.
2.) Institute a 3 year hiring freeze and a two year pay freeze for all government employees.
3.) Sell all unused excess government owned property within 120 days. The proceeds should be used as a payment on the national debt.
4.) Return all Federally owned land to the states in which they are located. Close the Dept of the Interior, the National Forest Service and the National Park Ranger Service.
5.) Sell Amtrak, the Post Office and the TVA to private enterprise.
6.) Replace all Cabinet level departments with 3 new ones. The Dept of Domestic Affairs, The Dept of International Affairs and The Dept of Science & Technology. Absorb all existing departments into the 3 new ones eliminating all overlap and duplication through personnel attrition.
7.) Close the Dept of Indian Affairs and make all lands/Casinos owned by Indian tribes subject to the same taxes as the rest of our citizens.
8.) Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment.
9.) Pass term limits.
And that's just for starters!!
