Nova Offers 2025 SF Bryson Tiller

Neptune and staff remain busy, getting another 2025 offer out, this time to an elite SF prospect. Tiller is a five-star prospect who is currently ranked No. 8 in his class. He's listed at 6-9.

Tiller has good footwork and solid handles, especially for a player his age and size. I don't want to rain on the parade nor do I want to be overly critical of a sophomore in high school, and I've only seen limited film so far, but I don't see a top 10 prospect at this point. To me the film I've seen just hasn't "popped." I feel like he's gotten away with using his size to bully rather than truly dominated with skill and/or athleticism. There are some tools there, the size is certainly intriguing and he still has three years to develop. He could turn into a very good player, I personally just don't see top 10 prospect at this point in the limited bit I've seen of him.

Regardless, another name to keep an eye on in 2025.

Nova Offers 2025 SF Amari Evans

Another 2025 offer, this time to SF Amari Evans. Evans plays at Our Saviour Lutheran in New York City.

At 6-5, 200 pounds Evans has an impressive body for a sophomore and is a great athlete. He's crafty around the rim, has a workable jump shot and encouraging handles. He's got a good motor and has a healthy confidence about him, and is reported to be a hard worker.

Penn State and Marquette are other schools involved so far, but I expect his recruitment to blossom.

Early 2026 Thread

A couple of offers have gone out in the class of 2026. Between Rivals (understandably) not having rankings that far ahead and our inability to have gotten a good look (or any kind of look) at these kids unless they happen to be local, I don't want to clog the pinned threads with such offers because there will be very little insight included other than a name and school. However, I do want to pass the info along. So, I think the best way to do that is to just keep a thread with any super early offers so that we have it noted and then once those recruits start getting ranked, film starts to become more prevalent and/or we get a chance to go see some of them play and their recruitments start to become more mature we can give the offers individual threads like we usually do. With that said, here are a pair of 2026 offers that have already gone out.

G Jordan Smith Jr., Paul VI (VA)
G Quincy Wadley, Bishop O'Connell (VA)

Cats Offer 2024 G Christian Bliss

Nova has offered 2024 guard prospect Christian Bliss. Bliss is not currently ranked by Rivals, but has seen a recent uptick in his recruitment with programs like St. John's, Xavier and Virginia getting involved. Bliss plays at the George School in Newtown, PA. He was reportedly on campus for an unofficial visit today, which seemingly resulted in the offer.

Nova Offers 2024 PG Daquan Davis

Another offer is out for the incredibly important 2024 class. This time it's point guard Daquan Davis out of St. John's College High in Washington, DC.

Davis is currently listed as a three-star prospect by Rivals, ranked No. 140 in his class.

Davis is a product of the DMV recruiting hotbed where Villanova had a ton of recruiting success under Jay Wright and it would be nice to see Kyle Neptune continue that connection. This is the 12th offer for Nova in the 2024 class. It would be nice to start seeing some commitments come in and to see Neptune land some of the priority recruits.

Nova Offers 2024 SF Caleb Williams

Kyle Neptune and staff remained busy Tuesday evening, getting out yet another offer in the 2024 class. This time it was 6-7 forward Caleb Williams.

Williams attends Sidwell Friends in Washington, DC. Like another recent Nova offer, Jalil Bethea, Williams hasn't cracked the class rankings just yet but that is likely to change.

For now, Williams becomes the third 2024 offeree in the last two days for the Wildcats.

Jalil Bethea to Visit Nova Wednesday

An interesting development for Wednesday, as 2024 G Jalil Bethea is set for an unofficial visit to Nova. Bethea is a local product who plays at Archbishop Wood.

Bethea's recruitment is intriguing from Nova's perspective. If my memory serves, he was the first 2024 offer for Neptune, and at the very least was one of the first. At the time, he was garnering little to no attention from Rivals or any of its competitors and also very little high-major interest. Nova and UCLA were the first big programs to offer. Since, he has skyrocketed up the rankings and now sits as a five-star recruit who is ranked No. 15 in his class. He holds offers from Kansas and Miami, among many others.

Personally, I hadn't been feeling great about Nova's position in his recruitment, but early interest and getting a jump on building the relationship can be a huge advantage, and Neptune certainly achieved that. Bethea would be a massive get and Nova has a big opportunity with this visit. Big day for Neptune and staff.

Nova Offers 2024 F Malcolm Thomas

Another 2024 offer has gone out, this time to 6-8 forward Malcolm Thomas. Thomas plays for high school powerhouse DeMatha. Like several other 2024 offers, Thomas hasn't cracked the Rivals150 yet, but Neptune has shown a knack for being ahead of the analysts on several of his 2024 offers already, so maybe that trend will continue. Regardless, another name to keep an eye on.

Of course, Nova guard Justin Moore went to DeMatha, so a little bit of a connection and point of intrigue there.

Nova Contacts Elite 2025 Prospect

With contact between coaches and 2025 prospects opening at midnight, Villanova got right to work. Nova has contacted elite 2025 shooting guard Isiah Harwell of Wasatch Academy in Utah. The 6-6 guard is currently ranked No. 5 in the class by Rivals. As you would expect, Harwell's recruitment is already a who's who of elite programs including Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, Texas, North Carolina, Houston, Gonzaga, Baylor, Alabama and Kansas, among others.

Christian Bliss Cuts List to Four, Includes Nova

A class of 2024 target has trimmed his list to four schools and has included Villanova. Christian Bliss has named a top four of Villanova, Miami, Xavier and Virginia.

Bliss is a four-star prospect who is currently ranked No. 106 in the class. The 6-4 point guard plays at The George School in Newtown, PA. He received his offer in early January and visited unofficially during last season.

Nova, Miami and Xavier have been garnering the most buzz with Bliss, so it's no surprise to see those schools among his finalists. The Cats appear to be in good position here, so this is definitely one to keep an eye on as we head into summer.

Lot of Tyler Burton Buzz

It's getting hard to ignore the buzz surrounding Richmond transfer Tyler Burton and Villanova.

There was speculation that Burton would remain in the NBA Draft, but reports now indicate he is expected to remove his name and return for another college season. That report has sent rumors about him and Villanova into overdrive.

Burton averaged 19 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals last season at Richmond. At 6-7, he would provide some interesting size on the wing. His three-point shooting is somewhat of a concern as it has been inconsistent. Burton hit just 29.3% from deep last season, but connected on 36.5% in 2021-22, so the potential for serviceable three-point shooting is there. He's also been a mid-70s to low-80s free throw shooter. He thrives as an athletic slasher who can finish at the rim both with authority and finesse. He can also play with his back to the basket and has showed good footwork.

Part of me would still like to see the last scholarship go to a true big, but it's hard not to get excited about what Burton could bring. This certainly feels like something to keep an eye on.
