Pitt has a lot returning. Will be our toughest FBS game in a long time.

Any idea why they burned Dasilva's redshirt? Seems kind of pointless - he played 5 or 6 snaps. Is the other freshman QB that's on the roster being redshirted?

That's a head scratcher for sure.

If they were trying to get him some meaningful reps, at least let him toss a few intermediate routes at the end of the Albany or Rhode Island games - or possibly even manage the last drive of the JMU game, since we were three scores down at that point.

Any indication if the other freshman QB being redshirted? Is it possible that Dasilva redshirts down the road?

51 walked off field with help with what appears to be a leg injury. Taken into locker room for eval. His folks went down to the locker room, returning looking relieved. So he'll survive.

Yes he can redshirt down the road. However, another offensive mystery. Check out special teams and offensive play calling,& getting plays in on time,- time for changes???

We lose only a handful of impact players. If Zach turns out to be a good or very good AN we should be in the playoffs.

I agree about the playoffs. Cats are there. Damm near there this injury riddled season. But a really tough opener. Pitt is 8-4. As others said it will be Cats toughest FBS foe. Think back to 2014 when Pitt crushed Delaware 69-0. If they can they will roll it up. BTW have you noticed UConn? Now bowl eligible with their win over previously unbeaten and nationally ranked Houston last Saturday. 6-5 coming into play Temple tonight. No anti Temple stuff, but I always root for Nova opponents. Thus, rooting for UConn tonight. UConn beat VU 20-15 in what was a very winnable game for our Cats.

@ Pittsburgh L
Lehigh W
Towson W
@ Lafayette W
@ Elon W
Rhode Island W
@ Richmond L
Albany W
@ Maine W
JMU W
@ Delaware W (Could it be Talley's last Delaware game?? if so Cats will there way to win)

9-2 even with a trip up here or there Cats should get to 7-8 wins. No UNH, Stony Brook, or W&M on schedule.

Bednarczyk will only get better, OL will solidify & McClenton will become a go to threat. 3 headed backfield of White, Gudzak, & Forbes will be better than you think.

Defense will lose Cherry, Paris, McCurry, & McCann. Tanoh will anchor line. Shockley may have a breakout season & Calitro will lead LBs & secondary has a lot back even with the Macs graduating.

I think Smith will be fine at PK and Hinchen is solid punter.

The Robertson/Cherry era is over, but The Cats can reload in '16 & be very competitive.

I would love 9-2. If they lose to Pitt and JMU, I feel they might have a slip up somewhere in the schedule. 8-3 and onto the layoffs with a home game.
The UD game will Coach T's last down there.
