What if Booth and Ennis swapped minutes last night? Booth gets 30 and Ennis gets 14 - which is what their respective talent levels should demand. What if Booth gets 12 shots and Ennis gets 4 - which is what is appropriate based on their respective efficiency levels?

I wonder if we'd still be in the winners circle.

You learn all you need to about players in games like last night - not in games against Providence in February. Phil remained himself - calm, confident, aggressive, smart. It was clear from the beginning of the game that Ennis couldn't compete at this level. We were barely to the first TV timeout and he was 0-7 or 1-8. He's had a nice little season. Far better than I would have predicted. Even though I question how Jay distributed minutes, I trust him enough that he'll see that Ennis is better suited for a "heat check" role off the pine next season. If he comes out and makes a shot or two every couple of games, great; if not, he shouldn't be out there hunting his shot every possession, disrupting our ball movement.
