I agree. But does this mean he'll be showing up on Real Sports now to shit all over Bernie Goldberg's hard hitting piece on some soccer player in syria playing with one kidney in constant fear of ISIS capture?
I want to hear from someone who still likes this guy. Obviously he must be doing something right. I don't "get it" any more with him, but I want to hear both sides. Anyone?
he is awful, he is Boston version of a jock sniffing Anthony Garganno. didnt he cheer on tv when the celtics drafted James Young? James Young, DLeague player James Young.
his writing was good as sports guy. his NBA draft diaries were great reads. once someone gets on tv they change for the worse. ie Jay Bilas. was a great color man, now he uses tv to express his personal opinions.

I enjoy his work. His pod casts are great, his short films are fun and HBO should provide a good platform. The guy is seen as the most influential sports writer on the planet. You can hate on him but you must respect his accomplishments. Be interesting to see the next phase of his career.
