Dylann Roof

1) Dynamite comeback
2) Wouldn't "nadsie, you're still a moron" work better?

How come he never responded to Dmil?

Still waiting for him to admit that he said that Romney would win "handily." He is incapable of admitting that he is wrong.

Cleanwave, after Sandy Hook I had a conversation with a very liberal Member of Congress who is a healthcare person. I raised the issue of gun ownership restrictions for those with mental (note, I'm in favor) and his response shocked me. It's important to understand the worldview of the Member in question: he is extremely liberal and not someone who is a gun guy or comes from an area of the country that is big on guns. When I said we should have some sort of restriction in place he quickly responded that he wasn't sure he could support something like that because then you get into defining mental illness. Where do you draw the line? I had not given that much thought but it's a fair point. Not sure I agree but it was interesting for a guy who had no issues with government involvement in lots of things he draw that line quickly.

That's crazy Adp, thanks for sharing. maybe He gets very nice things from pharma companies/lobbyists.

Seems like common sense to me.

Can't have a serious discussion on these young nut ball killers, without talking about what chemical altering "legal" drugs they take.

Never even heard a anti gun folk talk about taking away a legal gun license if you are on some serious anti-depressant.
I think the threshold should be whether someone has been deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

No, there isn't a connection where phrma is working with the gun industry. Goodness your tin foil hat has no limits.

Also, there is no national database that can track many tendencies of "mental illness." If a doctor is writing someone a prescription for Loxapine, that person probably shouldn't be anywhere near a gun, but there's no background check for that - that information is protected by HIPAA. The NICS database only tracks people who have been institutionalized.

Didn't say that Adpo.

Just know from going to Congress myself for 911 health bill, how powerfull Healthcare lobbyist are.

I was told they have the more registered lobbyists than any other industry.

So what does that have to do with gun control?
