On Monday afternoon the Empire Classic confirmed the matchups for the season-opening event, and there was a bit of a surprise. It was assumed that Villanova would be opening things against Arizona State, while Baylor would play Boston College. Instead, it will be Villanova who takes on Boston College while Baylor gets Arizona State. The winners of each game will meet for the event champtionship while the losers will play a third-place game.
We also got time/TV information. Villanova-Boston College will take place at 7 PM on Nov. 25 and air on ESPN. The championship game will be Nov. 26 at 9:30 PM with the third-place game at 7, both on ESPN.
