Comb or brush? I use a cheap comb from the drug store. Never understood what a brush was for, except women.
Think you're barking up the wrong tree here. Let's find out…
I use a brush not unlike this one;
As opposed to a comb - after a towel dry - the brush gives you a little bit of the "fake" messy look. Going straight comb after the shower can have you walking around with that super clean part you see in law school photos.
I've been taking this approach for over two decades also. In those ensuing years, it seems most guys with hair have gone to the actual hair-"do", where the "fake" messy is achieved with all manner of salon-styled products.
It's not really a comb vs. brush world out there anymore. It's the hair-"do's" vs. the hair-"dont's".
Walk off?
By mid-30's, if they don't already have a shaved dome, or buzz it down to practically nothing, seems like a lot of dudes throw some kind of juice in there and tussle it up.
Is this news?
Edit: check out The Grinder…
I'm 27 and no signs of hair loss yet. Definitely grays but I'm okay with them. Am I essentially safe or can hair loss strike at any time?

Sorry, SPG. I tried to "not unlike" this post but I couldn't find where to click.Think you're barking up the wrong tree here. Let's find out…

You've got a ways to go. I'm 38 and the last couple years have not been kind to me. Still have it but thinning out at the top. Not enjoying it. Probably why I keep my beard, to compensate.
A comb was good enough for this guy.
I generally agree with this. The simpler, the better. Early Derek Jeter is also accepted.Ericw, please see your way out of this thread. You are not qualified to speak on the topic.
The solution here is to get a real man's haircut that doesn't need styling and save yourselve from looking like some frilly shithead. See: Johnny Unitas, David Robinson.

Being half black and having nappy hair helped.
