My 3 year old, soon to be 4, son Jackson is a night owl like his daddy. He had a late nap so he was up watching his cartoons on his tablet while dad is sweating out the game. My mother in law's bedroom is right above the TV down stairs so I have been well trained to keep my mouth shut during late games. So my guts are churning and my little man is laughing at some cartoon. So I stand up and watch the last 8 minutes of the game standing in front of the tv. After Whitehead hits the 3 to put the Hall up 2 I turn away from the TV and see my little man is now sleeping. I'm thinking I will put him in bed and when I pick him up, his body heat gives me a sense of peace and calm. What to do? So I stand in front of the TV holding Jackson and rocking him in my arms. First time I had done that as I was also watching one of my teams in a nail biter. Turn over after turn after after missed free throws and I'm thinking "Jackson won't let us lose". Well you know the rest.
