Where will the uneducated (as in not knowing any better) liberal youth get their news from now?
It is easy being john stewart. You get rich by pointing out the faults of others while offering no real solution to the problems.
Probably hauled in a ton more advertising cash than your typical cable show given the very focused audience- young dumb people.Still trying to figure out how ComedyCentral could afford to pay him $30 mm per year. Good coin for 88 minutes of broadcasting per week..

You have some kind of problem with a man accumulating wealth? Your criticism has a bit of anti free enterprise ring to it...He is just a comedian, remember his show appears on the comedy channel...when did comedians start solving problems?
. He sits there, insults anyone in the public eye while contributing little to nothing for society.
If not for the female 18-49 demographic he would have been cancelled after 3 weeks.
You sounded a bit bitter that he had become rich in your original post...as if he hadn't rightfully earned it and wasn't entitled to it....Can you think of any others both liberal and right wing who just throw barbs and offer no solutions?...is it that unusual?I have zero problem with people accumulating wealth. I do have a problem with people who grandstand like Jon Stewart. Thats why he has such an easy job. He sits there, insults anyone in the public eye while contributing little to nothing for society.
I'm of the opinion that the Daily Show (and Colbert) took a steep turn downhill when Bush left the White House. Staying on for six and a half years of the Obama presidency damaged what he built in the eight years of Bush.I did watch the daily show a lot in high school and it made me laugh a lot - having carrell and colbert as correspondents back then made it great too. But it really is a giant pat on the back party. When Stewart engaged conservatives with honesty and understanding he was great, but those moments were few and far between
