Kobe Farewell

CoPers are mad that they weren't asked to be in that video so that they can ramble on about how they once saw him in line at Rita's when he was 15.
One of my friends older brothers went to Marple played against him in high school. He still brings it up to this day how he was able to stop Kobe.....on 1 possession.

I sat next to Kobe and Kittles at lunch in the Corner Grille my freshman year. Think I was eating a chicken finger hoagie. Hopefully this makes the highlight video tonight.

Would have loved to seen Kobe's predraft workout with the Nets. Heard it was legendary.

Say what you will...but that was an A-list f'n crowd that stayed till the end. Right after Dubs game ended - Curry in that first qtr, cmon now - Lakers game came on and he hit those two 3's. West coast best coast for sports.

I'm wish someone would have really tried hard to stop him. Kobe is a jagoff and never would have let someone chuck up 50 shots because of sentimentality or respected

Yeah why arent we talking about how the Utah Jazz looked like someone gave them a couple hundred bucks to lie down? Or how Kobe jacked up 50 shots and hit 22 of them? Was it really that impressive?

To be honest thought I will miss Kobe. NBA superstars these days are soft and like each other too much. Loved the good old days where Jordan wouldnt invite a guy like Karl Malone on his yacht.

the Jazz were eliminated like 20 minutes before the game started so the game didn't mean anything to them

Saw a few minutes in 3rd/4th quarter before falling asleep. I understand why it happened and that both teams out of it, but that game was an example of everything that's traditionally wrong in the NBA x100, superstar dominating the ball, disinterested defense, entitled players who stopped trying a long time ago hanging around for the checks earned through guaranteed contracts and a strong union. An extreme example, but happens everywhere in the NBA.

Games late in the playoffs can be ok but NBA is just hard to watch.

After watching March madness it really is hard for me to watch the current NBA. Bunch of cry baby chuckers who don't care to win. I'll tune in for GSW/Spurs (the championship).

Being able to was GS on a daily basis out here has been a treat. Enjoyable brand of basketball from start to finish this year.

Exactly. When basketball is played at a high level it is a joy to watch. I think that's what will truly separate this team from '85. Sure it was a different game back then, but the 85 squad won a bunch of games shooting around 40% or worse (until the title game). This year the defense was matched by superb all around play on offense every single game. Other than from 1:26 - :04.7 of second half of the championship.

"The 17-time NBA All-Star also became visibly choked up when describing how special it was as a fresh-faced 18-year-old to tell then-teammate Byron Scott that he can’t play for shit back in 1997, and then have the opportunity to tell Scott that he can’t coach for shit either almost 20 years later."

That is hysterical.
“People will always want to talk about the championships, the All-Star selections, or the scoring titles, but what I’ll really always cherish are all the times I let my teammates know when they completely ****ed up,” said Bryant, adding that since deciding to retire at the end of this season, he has been hit by a sudden wave of nostalgia for all of the instances in which he unloaded on his fellow players for their mental errors or lack of physicality against opponents. “It really is the little things that stick with me, like yelling at Dwight Howard for not taking a charge or kicking Kwame Brown out of practice because he didn’t dive for a loose ball.”

“That’s the type of stuff I’ll really miss the most,” Bryant added.
