Thoughts on this trade now?

The ventriloquist doll is basically a bench player for the Bucks at this point.

Looks like the old Hinkster may have been right peddling to aid the tank last year and move him for that Lakers pick.

#StillCantShoot

And he's hurt now.

The laker pick that doesn't convey for another year and has no guarantee of getting a better guy? I don't have much opinion on the trade yet. The sixers are still 15 months from getting an actual player. Clearly....too soon to tell.

Not too soon to tell. If he's still on that team last year they end up picking 7th or so by picking up meaningless garbage wins. And they don't get Okafor, whom I know you think sucks but unlike who they'd have taken at 7th IS an actual player with value around the league.

So in your view MCK is worth another 15 wins? Last year the Sixers won 18 games and got unlucky with the ping-pong balls. There is no given they would have finished any lower with MCW. Maybe they get lucky and win the lottery. We have no clue. Today, they have a future something for a guy they gave up a year ago.

They would've finished with numerous more wins. He was traded because at the time they were winning a few too many after a horrid start when he was out. Maybe they wouldn't have fallen to 7th but 5th is no stretch. And who knows where they end up drafting. It was a risk they weren't willing to take - and I understand it.

Sure, I'm just not ready to start a thread proclaiming any victory. If the Lakers get Simmons, combined with how Russell is playing and the convince some FA's to stay, the pick could end up being a 10-15 pick. The Sixers would be drafting another version of Stauskus or any of the other slob we see in the top 10-15 of every NBA draft. I understand all of it, doesn't mean any of it works #process.

Gdog,

Have you noticed Frank Kaminski is having a nice little rookie year & is going to make it in the NBA?

My point is Kaminski & only him. CLARK

You sh%t on the kid previously. but he is having a decent rookie year on a playoff team.. & getting better as season rolls along

I shit on Kaminsky when? He's a role player on a solid team with actual complimentary parts. Nothing more than an average NBA player. He's also probably what he's going to be having played 4 years in college. Sixers aren't tanking to get role players.

Except that is what Noel is. The MCW trade was a very good move but it also points out what a crapshoot the drat can be.

The Noel draft was a HORRID one. Bennett went 1. The Sixers werent tanking that season, they just sucked and held the 11th pick - which was MCW. Noel went 6th.

Just saying, with all this tanking, they only have one bright spot on the entire roster so far.

No, they cut Tony Wroten months ago.

I was talking about this guy, brings his lunch pal to work everyday and is gritty.
