Some encouraging news Thursday evening as the NCAA has announced that all sports can return to a normal recruiting calendar on June 1. The biggest implications for our interests are that there will likely be live, in-person evaluation of prospects in June and July for the first time in over a year. This also opens the door to the return of official and unofficial visits, although schools will still be required to follow state and local guidelines.

The news comes as a welcome step closer to normal and will allows coaching staffs to have improved options in the evaluation and recruitment of prospects. It allows gives us a chance to see which schools are watching which prospects and taking clues from those observations as to how schools are prioritizing and managing their recruitment plans as well as how some individual recruitments may be going. It's always nice to have more information available, and this type of information has both been useful in the past and also given us some fun things to talk about over the summer months.
