They are talking about signing Bryce Harper already. Your head is in the sand man.
Bmoney is such a blind homer.
Wasn't the whole reason the Yankees didn't trade for Cliff Lee in 2010 because "we'll just sign him anyway after the season" logic????
I think you are just bitter about Harvey implying he wants to go to the Yankees.Seriously - all the friggin time. Especially since the late 1990s. Simple fact. Giambi, CC, Teixiera, heard it again and again. You might want to get out a bit more. And it's not like it's a new thing. They have been buying talent forever. And they have never been shy about it. Their fans don't know or talk about this?
I can remember dozens of calls into FAN where fans were saying we'll sign this guy and that guy when they are FAs - and Chris Russo going crazy "hey Yankee fans - can you let the rest of baseball have ONE PLAYER!!" Before that I remember as a kid Yankee fans telling me Gooden's going to look great in pinstripes.
Honestly - where have you been? There was an article in the post a couple weeks back about Harper being a Yankee. It's what they do and it's what their fans talk about all the time.
Again, less so these days with Hal on the books.
Yeah, but he can just play the semantics game like corbsie.Utley out of line-up tonight.
Also, Texas is one of the teams already on Hamels list. So, he wouldn't have to agree to that. Fox's Morosi reported that wrong initially.
Looks like we might have a splash off.Just splashed my keyboard.
The whole not Jeter thing, I never liked him a person, however, I never minded him as a player, thought he was a good teammate. Yankees fans that are not over 40 in general are annoying, they only knew winning and don't understand how hard it was, they don't remember the shitty days. Why does the Yankees org and its fans hate ARod? He's raking this year and he won them a title in 09. Seems like misplaced anger.

Haha I thought the same thing. He looks lost all of the time.Upon hearing that Utley was headed to the DL Sandberg said he was surprised. What does this guy do all day? He doesn't know about anything. Strange.
Source? Or did you run into him buying a washer and dryer at a mom and pop store.I've also heard that Jeff Francoeur is a legitimate moron. Total meathead who is openly mocked by teammates and doesn't understand any of it.

Agreed, we are talking about Chaz Utley, American Hero. The Sandberg quote baffles me. We aren't talking about the 5th outfielder or some one-start pitcher from AAA. I get that Sandberg was basing his "surprise" on previous direct conversations with Utley (who is known to hide injuries). But it's another example of a dysfunctional organization when your manager isn't involved (or at least informed) on the ongoing discussions about player moves.
