Wow. It sounds like the video camera was still filming and they got a still of the shooter.

CNN reporting they have the name and license plate of the shooter. Shooting a guy as he's shooting a video with a wide lens camera is probably not the best course of action in remaining anonymous. Did it occur to this Rhodes scholar it might be a prudent decision to not leave that camera at the scene of the crime?

Did it occur to the Rhodes scholar who posted this that it doesn't matter if he took the camera with him since the video was already transmitted somewhere. It's not a still camera.

Black man kills two white former co-workers

Supposedly he sued a former employer for racial discrimination.

Supposedly he jus posted something about why he shot her. She allegedly made racist comments about him.

Sounds like this dude is the victim

This is not good; we have a new M.O. for shooters. The news stories aren't enough infamy, now they're going to be Periscoping or Youtubing their first-person perspective. Just in time for back-to-school.

How the hell did he get so close to the interview while holding his phone and gun and not be noticed?

Valid point but how do we fix this? The videos are going to be watched. They're going to be made. What drives people to kill isn't an urge to be seen on youtube. It's an urge to wield complete control over another human beings life. It's an urge to "right" a "wrong" which was done to them. Not very simple to fix these things.

There are dozens of shootings every day which don't go national. I don't think coverage of them as a result of footage somehow makes the murder worse. We have a murder problem, not a coverage problem.

It's just amazing the lengths some of these fired employees will go on vendettas.

Just looking at this guy, he was what, a production assistant? Making like 35K a year? And whatever happened on the job, he's canned; he KILLS two people, critically injures a third, and tries to commit suicide after a police chase?

Waiting for the mentally disturbed records to come out and how easily he bought that gun.

The fact is field reporting isn't a very sophisticated operation. It's just two people out trying to do their jobs. Keep in mind they were live, so you're simply not going to disrupt a live broadcast because someone is around. People are always around these things...

Where's Rev Al And Jesse Jack? They should come along any second now...

Any second now....

Did the woman being interviewed also get shot?

Also, the reporter took off at a pretty good rate, but it looked like he fired three times at her. Just wondering if she collapsed almost immediately or he went back after her.

I feel like he missed his initial shots. Where the hell is the blood? Seems like the fatal shots were administered after the camera went black.

She was hit but will live.

Guy was a lousy shot. He was literally 4 feet away and should have capped both of them easily in head.
