Back to hiding fees and not showing accurate price. This comes 2 years after they went to this pricing transparency model. Gutless.

Haven't bought a ticket there in years. **** them. They're just the ticket price rigging operation of the major sports leagues now.
Apparently they claim sales have gone down since they moved to the full disclosure model. They also claim to have tested the site with 2 different beta groups. 1 group saw the full price and the other saw the lower prices that were revealed to ultimately be higher. The group that didn't see full price was more apt to buy. I can't understand the logic behind this other than psychologically they get roped into the lower price and get themselves excited to buy therefore they don't puss out in the face of a few bucks more so they go for it.
I was just looking at tickets yesterday. I don't understand it. Its demoralizing looking at $125 and going to checkout and paying $150. I liked the old way better.
Once you get that far into the purchase detail - you figure you have come that far so you may as well close the deal. Many people just assume the upcharge is taxes and fees and whatnot and they would face the same sort of fees with another service. So they buy anyway. It's a sneaky model and I honestly can't blame them for using it. Enough people just don't know any better when searching for tickets and will bite the bullet. I was surprised when they went to full disclosure in the first place.
