Taking Questions for 2 Hours

how do you plan on proposing? Debating whether I should go cliche and do it where we had our first date (canoeing by Morgan's Pier). She talks about how that was one of the best days/dates of her life. We also took a trip up to the CoDB last summer. We saw someone propose in Central Park walking around. I took a picture of the guy on one knee and sent to him after she said yes -- she thought it was romantic (the proposal not the picture). Open to ideas. More focused at the moment on when to ask her old man. We had played chess in an epic 1.5 hour long game (he was taking forever to move), he eventually beat me. I'm a pretty good player so I think I might just ask him during the rematch this summer.

How far has your longest canoe trip been and where was it

Describe your chess game - I used to watch chess clips on Youtube about various openings and defenses, now I just go with the flow of the game. I'm pretty aggressive, even if I don't know my opponent. You can usually get a sense of how good your opponent is in the first 10 moves of the game. From there it dictates my strategy. I'm hesitant to trade queens with anyone. I almost always open with e4. I forget what it's called, but I like an opening where you end up sacrificing a few pawns in the first 3 moves but then have control with your queen bishop.

Describe your abilities as a canoeist - I've never canoed a big river, just rafted. In those cases, I'm usually relatively drunk to care about the direction or speed. For small contained areas (Morgans Pier, Central Park pond), I just wing it. Usually takes me 5-10 minutes to find my stroke, then I just try not to crash. I'm not a big water person, keep me on land when possible.

How far has your longest canoe trip been and where was it? - Like I mentioned, I've probably rafted 5-6 miles. Never canoed for real anywhere.

Good job with formatting the original questions in bold in your responses. Very easy to read on a phone.

I took some of the questions from my cell phone so it was tougher. I think the bold question is the way to go.
