The answer being no, he realized it would never happen and let it go. Obviously I don't know your ex, but you might want to think about whether you need to let that go for your own sake.

Not hard. You swipe right and she wipes right. Engage in convo. If it blows you block them. If there is something there you get their number. Escalate to texting. Ask to meet for a drink. If there is something there then you figure out if it is a one night we or more.
