Our football program is top-notch for the level at which we play. What is Diaco supposed to say in that situation? He can't say "yes, we are worried about losing to an FCS team." He has to exude confidence to lead his team. I have no problem with that.

I agree. Once you listen to the whole audio, I think what he says is reasonable. But I bet he is worried, because losing to an FCS team doesn't help with job security

Coach Talley in the same article, "We were able to play four quarters and play physical. We were spent, we played as hard as we could."

Diaco appears to be a little quirky, but I also think he's got a good handle on doing it the right way.

I wish them well in trying to rekindle the flame. Both teams played hard. Good things ahead for the Cats in the FCS.

Later when congratulating his players he said, "For them to get a win against a formidable opponent like Villanova, who is going to win a lot of games and is exactly the kind of contest we needed to play in preparation for the rest of the season
